Linda Yaccarino has publicly confirmed that she will be taking over as the CEO of Twitter.
Shortly after Elon Musk tweeted that someone has been selected to take over his current position at the social network company, both Musk and Yaccarino confirmed her role at the company through social media.
Thank you @elonmusk!

I’ve long been inspired by your vision to create a brighter future. I’m excited to help bring this vision to Twitter and transform this business together! https://t.co/BcvySu7K76
“I’ve long been inspired by your vision to create a brighter future,” tweeted Yaccarino, referring to Musk’s plans for Twitter since his $44 billion acquisition of the company.
As her Twitter following increased overnight, Yaccarino took to the social media platform to comment on the importance of Twitter users’ feedback for the company’s progress.
I see I have some new followers👀...👋 I’m not as prolific as @elonmusk (yet!), but I’m just as committed to the future of this platform.

Your feedback is VITAL to that future. I’m here for all of it.
Let’s keep the conversation going and build Twitter 2.0 together!
Prior to her new role as Twitter CEO, Yaccarino held the position of advertising chief at NBC Universal where she innovated its existing ad business.
The new CEO has a challenge on her hands as Twitter’s shares declined drastically following Musk’s takeover, following radical measures at the company including cutting 80% of staff.
However, the appointment of an industry veteran like Yaccarino suggests that Twitter will greatly evolve in the digital advertising segment.
Musk has also announced a Spaces Q&A with Linda Yaccarino shortly where she will tackle users’ difficult questions about the upcoming transition.
