Nubia, the China-based smartphone maker, just released its newest smartphone, the RedMagic 8S Pro, which is arguably the most powerful smartphone unveiled this year.
The upgraded version of the 8 Pro model that is already available globally comes equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Leading Version, like the one that powers the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, enabling users to take advantage of the 3.36GHz CPU clock speed and 719MHz GPU speed.
The smartphone includes a special ICE 12.0 cooling system and a built-in fan that ensures consistent performance. At the same time, the Pro Plus variant has received 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, enough to satisfy even the most demanding gamers.
Being a gaming phone, the battery plays a very important role when it comes to endurance. The base model comes with a 6,000mAh battery and 80W wired charging speeds, while the Pro Plus variant includes a slightly smaller battery of 5,000mAH, but faster 165W wired speeds.
When it comes to the camera, RedMagic 8S Pro is equipped with a 16MP under-display selfie camera and a triple rear camera system consisting of the 50MP GN5 main camera.
The rest of the features are pretty standard. The smartphone comes with a 3.5mm port, dtsX Ultra support, three microphones, and Wi-Fi 7 support.
The basic 8GB/128GB model is currently available only in China for about $552, while the top-tier 8S Pro Plus costs just over $1,000. Although there’s no information on global release yet, markets are optimistic that it will soon be widely available like the previous RedMagic phones.
