Beauty brand L'Oréal Paris just launched a new campaign meant to challenge unrealistic standards and empower women to celebrate their setbacks — including the ones that lead to their biggest achievements.
Created in collaboration with McCann, the "Worth It Resume" initiative serves as a poignant reminder that failure is a natural part of the journey.
It showcases how even the most accomplished women have encountered setbacks along their paths to success.
The campaign brings together an ensemble of celebrities, including:
- Eva Longoria
- Helen Mirren
- Kate Winslet

The one-minute and 30-second advert starts with a striking quote from the founder of Girls Who Code, Reshma Saujani:
"We're raising our girls to be perfect, and we're raising our boys to be brave."
Eva Longoria candidly shares her feelings towards the societal pressure she experiences as a woman, and how she feels women don't have a right to fail, or that they're judged for every mistake they make.
"You know in my life, some failures have helped me more than successes," she continues. "It can be a powerful motivator that shows us what we are truly capable of."
To double down on the message, Eva Longoria along with other L'oréal ambassadors have placed their resumes on LinkedIn, but instead of highlighting their achievements, they have cast a spotlight on their own failures.
"Because we tend to forget that failures build us too," the Desperate Housewives star adds.
Stars like Mirren, Winslet, and more give their own nuggets of advice, highlighting the importance of seeing failures as an opportunity beyond a hindrance.

For Longoria, she struggled to land directing roles in 2020. However, this propelled her to direct her first feature film "Flamin' Hot" three years later.
Other stars have also come forward to share their imperfections.
Winslet recalls forgetting her lines on stage, while Andie MacDowell had her voice dubbed by another actress in her own language.
All of this is to remind us that failing isn't only normal, but also vital to succeed.
