Threads, Meta’s new social media platform that launched last July 5, just rolled out new features as part of its first major update for iOS.
The update will include features such as a new follows tab in the activity feed that make it easier for users to keep track of their followers.
It will also come with the ability to subscribe to unfollowed users, improved activity feed scrolling, tappable reposter labels, fixed bugs, and more according to a software engineer for Instagram, Cameron Roth.
A new translate button will also be available in the new update – a feature Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri first teased last week.

Threads’ latest update comes as the platform’s user base appeared to dip, despite a record-breaking launch.
According to Sensor Tower, the social media app experienced a decline in daily active users by roughly 20% last Tuesday and Wednesday compared to the Saturday before.
While the platform has already reached one-fifth of Twitter’s weekly active users, it appears it is looking for ways to sustain this number.
On July 11, Mosseri shared Meta’s plans to create an alternative feed for Threads where users can view posts from users they follow in chronological order.
Additionally, the tech giant is also working on giving the app an edit button, an improved desktop version, and the ability to seamlessly switch between Threads and Instagram accounts.
