The rollout of the feature has been anticipated ever since the company announced its partnership with Linktree last April. The feature was also formerly exclusive to Snap Stars, or creators who were part of the platform’s special program.
In order to add a Linktree URL in their bio, users can head to their profile page where they will find the edit option. From there, they can select “Website or Linktree” and add their Linktree URL.
The feature will also let users add other URLs, but Snapchat profiles will be prioritized by Linktree and be given more visibility.
Additionally, the new tool will also let users add their Snapchat profile on their Linktree page with a special icon and button that says, “Add me on Snapchat.” Snapchat’s default share sheet will also include a space for Linktree.
Alongside the new feature, the link-in-bio company will also offer three months of Linktree Pro, which includes several premium features such as email and phone number collection, the ability to embed tweets and YouTube videos, and NFT lock.
The rollout of the new feature comes after the social media company celebrated the anniversary of Snapchat+ and reaching four million subscribers with the premium subscription service.
To celebrate the milestone, Snap also unveiled several new features for subscribers, such as Expressive Chat Messages and Custom Chat Colors.
