Walmart has announced the launch of Walmart Business, an eCommerce website targeting small and medium businesses and non-profit customers.

The retail chain has been closely working with SMBs and non-profit organizations in the previous months to develop custom solutions to ensure operations run as smoothly as possible. This is a significant time for SMBs which have been forced to deal with inflation prices and hybrid workplace habits.

Walmart Business claims that it will be able to “save business and nonprofit customers time, money and hassle,” by offering an enhanced shopping experience that will include time-saving tools and “Every Day Low Prices” resulting in a “faster, simpler and more cost-effective Walmart.”

Millions of SMB’s use Walmart stores and online website for day-to-day operations and Walmart Business aims to make the most of it. The new eCommerce site will feature a curated list of 100,000 products.

“As we’ve spoken with customers, they have identified key products for their operations. These areas include office supplies and furniture, food and beverage, restroom, electronics, classroom and facility needs. Walmart Business simplifies restocking by grouping various items together in a way that makes sense to organizations,” states Ashley Hubka, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Walmart Business, in an official company blog post.

In addition to offering multi-user accounts and the option to subscribe to a Walmart Business+ membership with special benefits, Walmart Business could bolster internal supply chains of small and medium sized businesses, as well as increase their revenue long-term.

“As we continue to evolve the shopping experience, we are committed to listening to SMB and nonprofit customers to help them address the challenges they face today, and the ever-changing challenges that come with running an organization,” added Hubka.
