“Air,” the upcoming Nike biopic starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, will get a $7 million ad to be aired in the upcoming Super Bowl.

Amazon Studios being the distribution company in charge of the film, has secured its air-time in America’s most-awaited sports event to generate buzz for its release.

The film’s trailer will be aired alongside other upcoming Hollywood blockbusters such as Paramount Pictures’ “SCREAM VI,” Warner’s “The Flash,” Universal’s “Fast X,” and the Russell Crowe-directed “Poker Face.”

Apart from this, Amazon has also given Air a theatrical release in a scale never-before-seen for a streaming service, debuting the film in cinemas worldwide on April 5. The biographical comedy-drama is also slated to be available for streaming in Prime Video following its theatrical run.

Air’s release plan is reported to be “a really big swing” and will put a lot of pressure on Amazon’s competitor streaming platforms, Netflix and Apple.

Amazon’s tactical big-budget marketing of the film comes after Former Warner Bros. Marketing President Sue Kroll joined Amazon Studios to become its head of marketing. Kroll is known for previously working on the marketing campaigns for blockbusters such as “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “Argo.”

“Air” follows the real-life story of shoe salesman Sonny Vaccaro (played by Matt Damon) in his pursuit to sign Michael Jordan to a game-changing Nike endorsement deal.

The film will also star big Hollywood names such as Jason Bateman, Marlon Wayans, Chris Messina, Chris Tucker, Phil Knight and Viola Davis. Though Michael Jordan is integral to the plot of the film, it was confirmed that he will not star in it.
