TravelSupermarket recently launched a new 3D installation in central Manchester, making use of 100 recycled and reused swimming pool inflatables to grab the attention of travelers and passers-by.
The campaign, developed in collaboration with creative agency Meanwhile and media agency Brazil Street, aims to position TravelSupermarket as the ultimate destination for holiday deals from various travel companies.

Launched on March 12, the 5-meter-high billboard shows these inflatables stacked on top of each other as they sit on a supermarket trolley.
"A supermarket. For travel. Obviously," it reads.
Meanwhile Chief Executive and Founder Al Marchant shared his expectations about the billboard design:
“We love doing this sort of work for our clients. Not only will it stop the public in their tracks, but we also hope to see it blow up on social media, ultimately leading to a serious inflation in bookings as we continue our work to put TravelSupermarket top of mind for holidaymakers.”
The eye-catching display is part of an extension to TravelSupermarket's pre-Christmas campaign, which originally launched on Boxing Day in 2023 and garnered significant attention through radio ads and a TV spot starring actor Shaun Williamson.
TravelSupermarket CMO Steve Seddon expressed his enthusiasm about the 3D billboard:
“In TravelSupermarket’s 20th anniversary year, we wanted a truly integrated, above-the-line campaign to maintain awareness throughout key holiday booking periods of 2024. This new activation brings some much-needed sunshine to Manchester!”
“Holidays are one of the most important, and valued purchases of the year for Brits, but when spending is being squeezed, finding the best deals has never been so important.”
