Actor, comedian, hip-hop artist and host Nick Cannon is in the Spotlight as a super frustrated dad who hilariously fights through the chaos of fatherhood while shooting Buffalo Wild Wings' latest commercial.
The new ad, which was released on YouTube on January 17, shows “The Masked Singer” host in his kitchen as he tries to stay in his role as a perfect father and say his lines for the restaurant chain’s new ad.
“Sports, friends, fun. As a father of 12, I ain’t got time for none of that sh*t.”
“But as a super patient father who never gets upset, I’m always looking out for a new deal.” Cannon smoothly says this statement after visibly getting upset by his children’s antics in a couple of “outtakes.”
The ad is a humorous take on the challenges of parenting, as well as a clever way to promote Buffalo Wild Wings' “Buy One, Get One” deals:
- Buy one order of traditional wings and get the next one at 50% off on Tuesdays
- Buy one, get one free boneless wings on Thursdays
“I have a lot of mouths to feed, so buy one, get one wing deals on Tuesdays and Thursdays works perfectly for me,” Cannon said in an interview with People.
“It was also this idea of just being able to have a satirical approach about my own life and then being able to just have fun with situations," Cannon added. "Something that anybody can relate to.”
Cannon's ability to laugh at himself and his situation is sure to resonate with viewers who have ever experienced similar moments of controlled chaos.
