Rihanna, Pharrell Williams Refresh Louis Vuitton in New Campaign

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were spotted donning matching checkered denim with Louis Vuitton details while leaving the Louis Vuitton show at the opening of Paris Fashion Week yesterday. 

The rapper supported his partner’s role in the new Louis Vuitton campaign by completing his denim look with a pair of oversized, green fuzzy slippers covered in the recognizable LV logo. 

Their appearance comes days after Rihanna was revealed to be the star of Louis Vuitton’s new campaign.

The campaign image sees Rihanna in items from the men’s SS24 collection with a coffee cup in hand and a Louis-Vuitton leather button-down revealing her baby bump. 

The editorial image caused a worldwide viral sensation, as it the first preview of what is to come for the French luxury fashion house under new creative director Pharrell Williams who was hired to refresh the branding of the fashion label in a more modern direction. 

Appointed to the role of creative director of Louis Vuitton’s men’s collections, Pharrell Williams left his followers reeling after sharing a photo of himself beneath a billboard of Rihanna in the new campaign for the Spring-Summer 2024 collection.  

Since sharing the snapshot, Williams’ Instagram following grew from 14.6 million to 15 million, speaking to the power of celebrity and influencer marketing.

Williams’ choice to star Rihanna in his first ad campaign as Louis Vuitton’s menswear creative director has further generated marketing buzz for what’s to come and will certainly see the Internet flocking to see what he comes up with next.
