Monkey Shoulder has officially unveiled a significant update to its iconic bottle design, introducing a fresh new look and feel to its bottles.
In a press release, the whisky company detailed the changes to include a bold refresh of the label and a lighter bottle, with up to 25% reduction in glass usage.
The new design will also feature a longer neck for easier pouring, catering to both bartenders and consumers making whisky cocktails at home.
Apart from the physical changes, the label has been revised using a split design and an enlarged brand logo, exuding a premium aesthetic perfect for display on whisky shelves or back bars.
Monkey Shoulder's new bottles will be implemented across "The Original" and "Smokey Monkey" variations of the whisky.
Despite the new product design, the whisky's beloved and award-winning recipe remains unchanged.
Ifan Jenkins, Monkey Shoulder's global brand director, expressed enthusiasm about the redesign:
"It's with this bold new look that we're looking forward to shaking up the drinks' cabinets of Monkey Shoulder fans around the world, as well as grabbing the attention of those starting to explore the world of whisky for the first time."
Redesigned With the Help of AI
The design overhaul was made possible through an AI-powered visual analysis to test key features and label viewability, followed by consumer testing.
This process ensured that the new bottle and label maintained the premium look and distinctiveness of the brand, while receiving approval from Monkey Shoulder fans.
"The eye-catching, new-look bottle has been designed not only to improve the cocktail-making experience with its glass-reduction, but also [to] stand out from the crowd," Jenkins added.
Monkey Shoulder's newly packaged bottle is set to be available in mid-2024.
