AB InBev's lager beer brand Michelob Ultra just dropped the second teaser for its upcoming Super Bowl ad, and it stars American actor and comedian Jason Sudeikis alongside Argentine football star Lionel Messi.
In the 15-second spot titled "Get Out There," Messi plays football with other beachgoers by the shore.
"I'm gonna get out there," Sudeikis says as he drinks a can of Michelob Ultra and watches the football legend and others have fun under the sun.
As he witnesses Messi outclass his opponents, the "Ted Lasso" star quickly retracts his statement.
"Nah, I'm not gonna get out there," he tells his friends.
The commercial ends with a message to viewers: "Stay right where you are."
The short spot is the third installation in an ad series launched by the brand pre-Game Day. The teasers serve as a lead-up to the one-minute Michelob Ultra commercial to be aired during the Big Game on February 11.
Within the same setting, the first ad saw Lionel Messi ordering a beer on tap by the beach, before having a stand-off with the bartender.
The second spot, titled "GOAT vs. DOG," sees Messi perform football tricks as he faces off with an overly excited beach dog.
"This year, Michelob ULTRA, a superior light beer, will connect with 'social athletes' from coast to coast, those who know that some of the most memorable moments happen when your active life and social life blend together," the beer brand shared in a press release.
“I look forward to the energy the United States fans will bring to the competition and the memorable experiences and atmosphere Michelob Ultra will help create for football teams, players and fans alike,” Messi stated in a press release.
