Maybelline Taps on Suhana Khan, PV Sindhu and More as Brand Ambassadors in Latest Gen Z Marketing Push

Maybelline New York has tapped on Shah Rukh Khan’s Daughter Suhana Khan and Indian badminton player PV Sindhu to become its newest brand ambassadors in a new effort to build a stronger connection with its Gen Z market 

Joining the two are policewoman-turned-model Eksha Subba and Indian singer-songwriter Ananya Birla. 

The global cosmetics brand took to Instagram to make the announcement. “We've just got the perfect fit for Maybelline! We are taking our game up a notch with our sensational squad,” the post read.

Khan posted on Instagram to express her excitement over the new partnership. In the video post, the 22-year-old along with her co-ambassadors donned Maybelline’s Colossal Mascara in different shades.  “Thrilled to be the new face of Maybelline New York and to share the space with these amazing women,” she wrote. 

Meanwhile, Sindhu also expressed her delight in representing Maybelline New York. “Maybelline creates makeup made for all and stands strongly for diversity and inclusion. I’m also proud to be the voice for a brand that has a purpose in ‘Brave Together’ which aims to destigmatize the conversation around mental health and encourages young people to seek the help they need,” she shared.

Maybelline’s official brand campaign featuring its new slate of ambassadors is set to launch in April 2023.  

Zeenia Bastani, the brand's General Manager in India, welcomed the four to the Maybelline family. “Our mission is to give everyone the self-confidence to express themselves and their beauty – their way, and these four talented young women embody the spirit of our brand and what we stand for. They perfectly represent Maybelline New York women who are ambitious, confident in their self-expression, diverse and ready to make change,” she added. 

With a diverse set of ambassadors ranging from athlete, businesswoman, actor and internet personality, Maybelline’s latest marketing campaign may be the strategy it needs to maintain its stronghold as a leading beauty brand around the world – more particularly among a Gen Z audience.
