Published: June 16, 2023

Intuit Mailchimp is tapping into artificial intelligence (AI) to expand its offerings so that marketers can reach more customers, get more personalized support, spend less time creating emails and measuring performance, and accelerate eCommerce growth.

In a press release, Mailchimp said that the features include richer reporting and analytics, advanced segmentation, more eCommerce automations, customer journeys for Shopify merchants, SMS marketing, enhanced support options, and an improved Standard plan.

“We’ve been innovating for our customers at an incredible pace to help them grow their sales by creating personalized multi-channel marketing campaigns at scale,” said Intuit Mailchimp’s CEO, Rania Succar.

“With this latest launch, we’re introducing new AI and automation features plus new services with a human touch designed to help our customers save time and accelerate growth,” she added.

The popular email marketing platform also said that Mailchimp users in the U.S. would soon be able to seamlessly integrate email, SMS marketing, automation, and data-driven insights to create personalized marketing strategies for optimal results.

The move comes as more businesses, including email marketing companies, are looking to leverage breakthroughs in artificial intelligence and machine learning across multiple channels and translate them into their workflows.

“We recently surveyed a group of marketers and found that 88% of them believe their marketing organization must increase its use of automation and AI to win,” said Intuit Mailchimp’s Chief Design and Product Officer, Jon Fasoli.

“Our latest updates and refreshed Mailchimp Standard plan are tailored to give marketers the enhanced automation capabilities they need and are backed by a wealth of data to help them gain more customers and increase revenue,” he added.

Most of the features and updates are now available globally, with the exception of the SMS (U.S. customers only) and the Email Content Generator, which will only be available for U.S.-based customers within specific industries.
