Lizzo’s shapewear brand Yitty furthers its collection just in time for International Transgender Day of Visibility with a line of gender-affirming shapewear.

Two years in the making, the collection titled “Your Skin” features a binder top and tucking thong designed to allow a visibly flat contour. The products are a rarity among shapewear and undergarment brands, especially when it comes to mainstream brands popularized by celebrities.

"Yitty believes in radical self-love for people of all gender identities — including the trans, non-binary, gender-fluid and gender non-conforming communities that have been chronically underserved. It is Yitty's mission to continue serving all bodies, which is why these core styles will always be available at Yitty,” the brand stated in a press release.

The musician has been recognized as a self-love advocate since the beginning of her career, garnering attention worldwide for the Grammy-award-winning tune “About Damn Time,” among others. Publicly speaking of her struggles with body image and self-acceptance, Lizzo launched Yitty in collaboration with Fabletics in 2022. Yitty quickly garnered popularity worldwide as a brand that reflects its values

“I was tired of seeing this sad, restrictive shapewear that literally no one wanted to wear. I decided to take on the challenge of allowing women to feel unapologetically good about themselves again,” said Lizzo for the launch of Yitty.

Ad campaign images for “Your Skin” feature non-binary model Shaheem Anderson, photographer Simone Niamani Thompson, DJ and producer Angelica M Rodriguez and of course, Lizzo.

"It's one thing to be included in a campaign but included in a campaign that could potentially make a difference in someone's life and affirm how they feel on the inside means the world,” explained Anderson on Instagram.

The entire “Your Skin” collection is yet to be revealed but is expected to be available for purchase in late summer of this year.
