Kia, in collaboration with experiential design studio VOID and creative agency Innocean, launched a new campaign promoting its all-electric three-row EV9.

Harnessing the power of the vehicle, the company has created a remarkable light installation in Norway that aims to illuminate one of country's darker regions during its winter months.

Measuring five meters in diameter, the LED disc is a testament to the EV9's impressive vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology, also emphasizing the significance of sunlight for overall well-being.

David Hilbert, head of marketing at Kia Europe, expressed excitement about the EV9's features.

"The EV9 is exciting when moving, but also when stationary with innovative features such as bidirectional charging," he shared in a press release.

Hilbert further highlighted the versatility of electric vehicles, envisioning their role in various aspects of life.

"[Whether] it's for camping, providing a power source for a mobile office, or even being part of the broader electricity grid with the Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology," he added.

A Picture-Perfect Light Show

Situated in Rampton, a charming campground southwest of Oslo, the installation simulated sunrise along the shoreline, the Spotlight visible from several kilometers away.

Its picturesque setting, featuring a scenic beach and a small island nearby, provided an ideal backdrop for the project.

The EV9, having driven from Oslo to Rampton, successfully powered the light for 24 hours before returning to Oslo, showcasing its capabilities without range anxiety.

Already celebrated with multiple awards, the EV9 stands out in the SUV category, boasting strength, cutting-edge electric vehicle styling and advanced technologies.

Built on the Electric Global Modular Platform, the EV9 offers an impressive all-electric range of more than 563 km and the ability to recharge up to 249 km of range in just 15 minutes with its ultra-fast 800-volt charging capability.

The installation serves as proof of Kia's commitment to innovation and sustainable technology, providing a glimpse into the future of electric vehicles and their potential to positively impact lives, even in the darkest of regions.
