Oppo has tapped former Brazilian football player Ricardo Izecson Dos Santos Leite, better known as Kaká, to become the official brand ambassador for its ongoing partnership with the UEFA Champions League.
As part of the partnership, the former FIFA World Player of the Year will make a return to the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey where the 2023 UEFA Champions League final will take place.

The mobile phone brand’s strategy to tap into the football legend is backed by his rich history with UEFA – the Atatürk Olympic Stadium is a significant location for the football star, as it is where Liverpool FC’s victory against Milan during the 2005 UEFA Championship finals took place.
In the stadium during the event, Kaká will also showcase OPPO’s flagship fliphone Find N2 Flip, as well as its Find X6 Pro smartphone model.
The Ballon d’Or winner will also travel to Jakarta, Indonesia and Beijing, China early June to fulfill a series of OPPO activities.
"OPPO's spirit of 'Inspiration Ahead' is the same spirit that lies at the heart of every athlete's ambition to achieve greatness in the face of adversity," said Kaká.
OPPO Overseas Chief Marketing Officer Elvis Zhou also expressed his excitement to have the award-winning football player on board the brand campaign.
“With Kaká, the witness and creator of miracles, joining the OPPO squad this year, we will be better positioned to communicate and engage with our global fans while inspiring them to enjoy, experience, and share miracle moments from their favorite football matches,” he shared.
