The world's best-selling Tennessee whiskey, Jack Daniel's, has appointed BBDO India as its creative communications agency for the Indian market.
Being Jack Daniel's global agency, part of its mandate, BBDO India will handle creative strategy and execution for the Indian market and localization of international campaigns. This is on top of managing the whiskey brand's packaging, social, retail design and mainline creative in India.
The makers of Jack Daniels, Brown-Forman Corporation, see India as a "strategic emerging market" for the company's entire family of brands.
"We are confident that BBDO India will add immense value through its energy and creativity and help the brand make a meaningful difference with consumers even more effectively and maintain its position as the largest selling American whiskey in the country," said Vinay Joshi, Marketing Manager for Indian Subcontinent and Maldives of Brown-Forman Corporation in a statement.
Meanwhile, BBDO India's Chief Development Officer Nikhil Mahajan said the agency is "very excited" to take over the leading whiskey company's branding strategy for the Indian market.
