Apple has finally dropped the new iOS 16.5 update, taking place just over a month since the previous iOS 16.4 patch was released.

IOS 16.5 comes with a few helpful features and updates. One of its biggest changes is the integration of a sports section in the Apple News app, which serves as a hub for users to keep track of scores, game schedules, and other sports-related articles.

By clicking the new Sports tab at the bottom, users can organize the sports they want to see with another tab located on the upper left corner of the screen.

In celebration of Pride Month, iOS 16.5 also comes with a special Pride Celebration Wallpaper that changes depending on whether a user is using light or dark mode in their settings. The wallpaper also has animated motions whenever users swipe to check their Notifications.

When it comes to minor changes, the iOS update has addressed several bugs and issues regarding Spotlight, Podcasts in CarPlay, and Screen Time settings.

iOS 16.5 and iPadOS 16.5 can be downloaded now by going to Settings, General and Software Update. The latest change is suspected to be among the last few updates before Apple drops iOS 17, which is set to be unveiled during Apple’s much awaited WWDC event this coming June.
