European food delivery service Foodora just launched a campaign that puts a Spotlight on the feeling of waiting for your food to be delivered.
In the 20-second ad "It's Gonna Leave A Mark," Foodora users get excited over seeing their delivery riders outside the window — so much so that they press their face against the window in anticipation.
Through this humorous approach, the spot is able to convey a powerful message: Whether you're in a party, in the middle of the road, or a goldfish in the fish tank, the sight of your Foodora delivery is enough to "leave a mark."
The spot ends by promoting the service's endless free delivery and 50% deals.
Made by creative agency Gut Amsterdam, the spot has also enlisted actress Lola Paja to be one of the hungry Foodora delivery seekers smudging her face on her window.
Gut Amsterdam Creative Director Guillaume Roukhomovsky shared his thoughts on the ability of brands to change the consumers' perspective on the ordinary.
"We thought it would be funny to show how Foodora is directly responsible for this amusing, new behavior, leaving a mark on people’s habits – and their windows," Roukhomovsky explained.
The CMO of Foodorama's parent Delivery Hero, Federico Vazquez, also commented on the ad saying he believes that the brand is setting a new standard by surpassing the expectations of customers in a saturated industry.
