Canadian actor Michael Cera is going viral on the internet as he was spotted by fans signing bottles of CeraVe, leading everyone to question if he owns the brand.
On X, one user posted a snapshot of the "Superbad" and "Barbie" star holding bags full of CeraVe lotion. "Why is Michael Cera carrying that much lotion," the user questioned.
Another user suspects the recent influx of Cera-CeraVe sightings indicates a new and uncanny brand campaign.

Bringing light to this possibility, model and influencer Haley Kalil (@haleybaylee) posted an Instagram video where she bumps into Cera at a pharmacy.
As she walks up to him, it is revealed that the "Scott Pilgrim" lead was placing stickers of his face on CeraVe bottles and signing them.

It remains unclear whether or not Cera is affiliated with the brand, and the actor only doubled down on people's confusion in Bobbi Althoff's "The Really Good Podcast."
When asked if he started the skincare brand, Cera said, "I don't claim that, but if you look at my name, my name is Michael Cera. And people tend to draw the obvious."
The star did admit that he is fond of the brand. "I think it's a fine product, but that's as far as it goes, as far as I'm willing to say."
Netizens will have to wait and see to find out if Cera's recent sightings with CeraVe are potentially a lead-up to a big ad campaign, maybe even for the Super Bowl.
