Disney Goes to Bat for Women’s Sports with New Advertising Package

Published: June 20, 2023

Disney is stepping up to the plate by launching a new advertising package that would encourage brands and advertisers to invest more in women’s sports content.

In particular, the “Level Up” initiative would include programming on linear, streaming, and addressable platforms, as well as on-site events and thought-leadership opportunities.

Designed to be multi-platform and multi-partner, the opportunity would also include custom integrations and interactive ads during live games as well as promotions on the ACC and SEC networks.

Level Up is a “first-of-its-kind” opportunity for brands and advertisers to tap into the power of women’s sports, the company noted.

“There is no better place for brands to invest their dollars if they’re looking to support women’s athletics and now with Level Up, Disney has revolutionized the way in which they can do so,” the company said.

In 2022, Disney aired over 33,000 hours of women’s sports programming. For decades, they have also aired major live events such as the NCAA women’s basketball championship and other women's college sports, Grand Slam tennis, and Women's National Basketball Association games.
