DesignRush Research: Best Times to Engage with California-Based Decision-Makers

B2B marketplace DesignRush conducted research studying the best times to engage with decision-makers from the different cities of California, as well as other states.  

The study was conducted between March 2022 and April 2023, tracking the company’s website visitors during the time period.  

In the study, it was revealed that user activity from the city of San Jose had peaked at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., but had shown significant activity before sunrise, between the hours of 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. 

Meanwhile, the cities of Carlsbad and Pasadena both had their highest user activity between the hours of 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., with Carlsbad peaking at 9 a.m., and Pasadena peaking at 11 a.m. 

Mountain View and Santa Monica were most active during lunch time between the hours of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. However, Santa Monica peaked early on at around 1 p.m., while Mountain View peaked an hour later.  

When it comes to Cypress and Fresno, both had shown high user activity late in the afternoon compared to other California cities. While user activity from Cypress peaked at 7 p.m., Fresno peaked a little early on at 3 p.m.

The cities of Concord, Hollywood, San Marcos, Santa Ana, Santa Clara, and Stockton all had peaked at different times. Hollywood and San Marcos were most active at 1 p.m., Santa Ana and Santa Clara at 2 p.m., Concord at 5 p.m., and Stockton at 10 p.m. However, all of these cities had more user activity between 9 p.m. and 12 a.m. compared to most cities.  

Lastly, Fremont and San Jose had spread-out user activity within the day but had shown higher activity between the early hours of 1 a.m. and 4 a.m.  

DesignRush conducted its research with a sample size of 340,000 web visitors, sized down to focus on its active U.S. visitors. 

“Considering the nature of our website and the services we offer to businesses and agencies, including lead generation, enhanced exposure, and increased authority, we have a strong indication that our user base primarily consists of B2B professionals and decision-makers,” it explained.
