Burger King is jumping on the excitement around the highly anticipated superhero film “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.” The fast-food chain has released a Spidey edition of the beloved Whopper burger, taking its Marvel collaboration to the next level.

The limited-edition Whopper burgers will be aesthetically inspired by the suit of Miles Morales, with a red-colored bun and black sesame seeds. However, dessert has not been left off the menu. The collaboration has also led to the creation of a Spider-Verse sundae, ice cream topped with red and black candy.

“Like the infinite number of universes that can be explored in the next instalment of the award-winning Spider-Man franchise, Burger King fans can discover new and exciting ways to customize the ‘Spider-Verse’ menu items,” said Pat O’Toole, the chief marketing officer of Burger King in North America, in an official press release

Available at Burger King from May 15 to June 21, certain restaurant locations nationwide will include immersive and interactive designs, transporting customers straight into the Spider-Verse.

From themed “instagrammable” areas to a drive-thru takeover, Burger King restaurants will be getting a temporary Spider-Man makeover.

“This co-promotion allows us to bring the best of both worlds together, creating countless possibilities for guests to have it their way and rule their Spider-Verse,” added O’Toole.

The fast-food restaurant chain is not the first brand to further its marketing reach through a collaboration strategy and creative custom branding

Expected to launch on May 20, Jordan has designed a limited collection of Air Jordan 1 High OG’sto celebrate the film’s premiere, also relying on the red-black colour combination of Miles Morales’ legendary costume for design inspiration
