Burger King Brazil is celebrating its 70th year of serving up world-famous Whoppers with a fiery new campaign that puts lovebirds on the spotlight.
Made together with Buenos Aires-based creative agencies Room 23 and Trans Company, the burger giant's latest marketing efforts aim to show that, "70 years later, the fire's still burning."

In a series of daring print and video ads shot by fashion photographer Guy Aroch, senior couples publicly declare their love for each other by showing affection inside BK stores and sharing passionate kisses in the parking lot and at the drive-thru.
It's a testament to love's ability to withstand decades — and Burger King's role in keeping this flame alive.
Burger King Launches 'Chama Acesa' Spot
To drive the campaign, the fast-food joint also dropped a new commercial that zooms in on the love story of a pair of Burger King fans.
The 30-second spot titled "Chama Acesa," which I found loosely translates to "Lit Fire," gives viewers an insider scoop on how a senior couple manages to stay together and keep their love alive after all these years.
The answer, the two jokingly proclaim, is "fire" — which also happens to be the key to why BK's flame-grilled Whoppers have withstood the test of time.
After the two share a hearty meal, the spot ends with a special promo for customers, offering two Whoppers for the price of R$25.

Sebastial Wilhelm, who served as creative director, explained the rationale behind Burger King's latest campaign.
"Anniversary campaigns tend to be self-congratulatory. We wanted it to say something relevant for the consumer," he shared.
"The fact that their burgers are flame-grilled, that BK’s tone of voice is cheeky and that old people never get to be sexualized in ads made this idea work for us."
Co-creative director Maxi Anselmo also explained why the company tapped seniors to be the stars of its 70th anniversary celebration.
"In an industry where older individuals are often sidelined or overlooked, we wanted to shine a spotlight on their vitality and desire," he said.
"By showcasing seniors engaging in intimate moments, we’re breaking barriers and inviting viewers to embrace the idea that desire knows no age limit."
