Applebee's Grill + Bar and the National Football League (NFL) have announced a partnership, making Applebee's the official grill and bar of the NFL.
This multiyear agreement aims to provide fans with exciting experiences and offers throughout the NFL season.
“Applebee's fans are NFL fans, which is why we are excited to bring America's Favorite Grill + Bar together with America's number one sport in a way that will create a fun and engaging experience for all,” Applebee's CMO Joel Yashinsky shared in a press release.
Applebee's Aims to Revive Brand
Applebee’s aims to address its declining domestic sales and diminishing physical presence with its latest campaigns.
Last week, we saw NFL star Brandon Aiyuk being featured on Whistle’s “Undercover Athlete” series.
In the show, the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver disguised himself as an Applebee’s server.
Its partnership with the NFL is in line with Applebee's active campaign to revive its brand and make it more appealing to sports fans.
Applebee’s new deal with the NFL will be boosted by investments in national TV and digital media, along with a presence at significant NFL events.
To mark the new alliance, the grill & bar is giving away 20 free Boneless Wings when customers make an online purchase of at least $40 during this year’s NFL Draft from April 25 to 27.
“Applebee's shares the league's commitment of providing best-in-class gameday experiences, and we're thrilled to be able to bring our fans together with Applebee's in the months and years ahead,” said Tracie Rodburg, SVP of sponsorship management at the NFL.
