Samsung’s ‘Auto Blocker’ Boosts Galaxy Phones With One UI 6

Published: November 03, 2023

Samsung has just introduced "Auto Blocker," a cutting-edge security tool for Samsung Galaxy users.

This feature is part of the One UI 6 update, demonstrating Samsung's ongoing commitment to enhancing user security and choice.

Dr. Seungwon Shin, EVP and Head of the Security Team at Samsung Electronics, underscored the company's dedication to user safety and empowering users to make choices that suit their needs.

Auto Blocker defends against unauthorized app installations, enhancing device customization and control. It also thwarts voice phishing attacks, safeguarding against malicious software coercion.

The feature enforces app security checks, detecting potential malware and preventing harmful commands and software installations via USB connections, even when someone has physical access to the device, such as during phone charging.

Furthermore, an update to Message Guard enhances protection against Zero Click attacks and malicious code hidden in direct image messages.

Initially launched for Google and Samsung messaging apps, it now extends its protective capabilities to popular third-party apps, providing users with more options for safe app usage.

To experience Auto Blocker's benefits, users can activate it within One UI 6 settings on their Samsung Galaxy devices.
