Over the years, AI has evolved by doing what was once only imaginable — AI-generated sci-fi trailers, AI-powered chatbots that sound like our favorite celebrities, and many more, changing the way we create and consume content.
Today, technology has taken the internet by storm with a new viral trend: the AI Yearbook.
The sensation, which has caught the attention of famous personalities like beauty influencer Bretman Rock and streaming personality Pokimane, is based on the mobile AI photo editing app Epik.
It uses AI to reimagine users as graduates and creates nostalgic yearbook images of them based on the selfies they provide.

"And why do they all look like how I imagined my sister's kids to look grown," Rock captioned.

Here’s How To Do the AI Yearbook Trend
To get in on the craze, you can download the Epik app that's available on both iOS and Android. From there:
- Select the "AI Yearbook" option and upload 8-12 images for the image generator to process
- Select your gender
- Choose a plan: "Standard" to process a total of 60 images within 24 hours, or "Express" to process 60 images within two hours
- Select "Create Yearbook Images"
- Choose your preferred frames and filters
- Click "Process"
To get accurate results, selfies submitted to Epik need to be clear, close up, and have good lighting.
