Meta's Threads is finally adding a Repost tab as part of its latest update, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri announced on the platform on Thursday.

Additionally, the text-based conversation platform is also introducing reposts to users' Following Feeds.

Threads has been bringing new features that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg refers to as "retention-driving hooks" in hopes of retaining its user base amid a continuous decline.

It first introduced the "Repost" button alongside features such as the "Following" tab where users can view chronological posts from accounts they follow, translations for posts, and an "Activity" feed that users can view according to likes, mentions, and reposts.

More recently, Meta's app introduced a feature that lets users send a Threads post via Instagram DMs, the ability to create custom alt text for photos and videos, and a new mention button.

Zuckerberg also confirmed that a fully-functioning web desktop version and an advanced search function were on the way, though it remains unclear when these improvements will roll out.

TweetDeck is Dead, Long Live 'X Pro'

On the other side of the social media sphere, Threads rival X (formerly Twitter) has rebranded its post management dashboard app TweetDeck as "X Pro" to streamline its name with the company's major rebranding

As previously announced, X Pro will be exclusive to X Premium (formerly Twitter Blue) subscribers, offering features like decks, full post composers, easy advanced search, and more.

The shift from TweetDeck to X Pro comes as no surprise. Last month, Tweet Deck users spotted the new name of the platform in the top left corner of the log-out page.
